Teamfight Tactics will also feature a Shared Draft in which players will select their champions from a pool of heroes once every couple of rounds. Riot Games has announced Teamfight Tactics, a new Dota Auto Chess inspired mode launching later this month. This means that all damage done per round will stick – instead of resetting after every battle. Additionally, while in the combat phase, players will battle each other directly instead of sending copies of their champions. Various celebrated MOBA developers have a new genre to fight over, and they’re all diving in. League of Legends is now diving into the emerging auto-battler genre with Teamfight Tactics.

Instead of a traditional chess board, Riot Games’ take on the ‘Auto-battler’ genre with a hexagonal board. League of Legends developer Riot Games is trying their hand at the Auto Chess genre, now competing against Dota Underlords and others. While it sounds very familiar to the Dota 2 mod, Teamfight Tactics has a few unique twists. The new game mode titled Teamfight Tactics will support 8-player battles in which players will buy and draft League’s champions, place them on board, and send them to battle. Apparently, the company is developing their own version of Auto-Chess mode for League of Legends which was inspired by the mod created for Dota 2.
